Here is what we are doing this week in history:\
Monday: Hand in two worksheets from Friday (ch. 12 building vocab and reading study guide). Kahoot.it "Life in the Roaring Twenties" pre test. Students will take this pre-test prior to starting the unit and we will take it again, for a grade, at the end of the unit.
Tuesday: We will discuss city life versus rural life in the 20's. We will take notes, comparing and contrasting the two.
Wednesday: Today we will finish the city/rural debate. We will then look at how women changed in the twenties. Discussion on what an "emancipated" woman is. Begin discussion on prohibition.
Thursday: In class group work. Groups will be assigned the task of coming up with the number of agents that it will take to enforce prohibition. Groups will receive a copy of the Volstead Act and will follow its guidelines in their work.
Friday: Finish the group activity today. Additionally, we will talk about common myths associated with the prohibition era. We will use the group information on Monday.
